What is a HOOK-TYPE Fork?

HOOK-TYPE forks are specialized attachments designed for forklifts and other material-handling equipment. HOOK-TYPE forks are equipped with a unique hook mechanism at the tip of each fork. This innovative design allows the forks to securely engage with various types of loads, providing enhanced stability and versatility during lifting and transportation tasks.

Vallée's Hook-Type Fork

Vallée’s proprietary Hook-Type fork system is designed for fast, safe, and tool-free changes without removing the shaft. This unique design allows a single person to swap forks in just 10–15 minutes, compared to up to 2 hours with two workers for traditional pin-type (shaft) forks.

Many of our clients require two different fork sizes for their operations, such as 4 ft and 8 ft forks. With Vallée’s Hook-Type forks, they can switch quickly and safely — without manual handling — making this system ideal for operations that alternate between different handling needs.

In contrast, standard ITA Hook-Type forks use a traditional ITA mounting, which works well for less frequent changes but does not offer the same time-saving and safety benefits as the Vallée system.

Vallée Hook-Type Fork

  • No shaft removal required for installation.
  • Change time: 10–15 minutes by one person.
  • No manual handling during the change → safer for workers.
  • Perfect for operations alternating between different fork lengths (e.g., 4 ft and 8 ft).
  • Rare design, unique to Vallée, recognized for productivity and safety gains.

Standard ITA Hook-Type Fork

  • Traditional ITA mounting.
  • Good for applications where forks are rarely changed.
  • Change time longer than Vallée’s system.
  • Manual handling required.

Why getting a HOOK-TYPE fork?

  • Versatility: Easily adapt to different load sizes and shapes, eliminating the need for multiple attachments.
  • Time Savings: Our hook-type forks can be changed in the blink of an eye! Ideal for those who alternate between different models, they save precious time and offer unrivalled adaptability.
  • Improved Ergonomics: Promote safe lifting practices, reducing the risk of injuries and creating a better work environment.
  • Durability: Constructed from strong materials, ensuring long-lasting performance in demanding applications.
